OUR ADVOCACY: What most of us doesn't know that most products from abroad, which are said to have better quality than Filipino products, are originally manufactured here at the Philippines, meaning made by us Filipinos, then sent to abroad for branding. After the product has been branded, they then ship the products back here at the Philippines to be sold at a very high price. So it's not really the product we're buying in terms of its quality, it's actually the brand and design.

Bamboo Bike

BAMBOO: a natural composite material longitudinally reinforced by strong fibers. LIGHT: In wood the strongest fibres are packed in the centre of the trunk, however in bamboo the stems are full of cavities and the strongest fibres are distributed most densely in the outer surface region. STIFF: As a consequence the most stable fibre structures in bamboo are most dense in regions of greatest longitudinal stress. Wood bends relatively easily but bamboo does not. STRONG: Extremely strong wood fibres can resist up to 5kN/cm2 and steel can resist at most 37kN/cm2 whereas the outer fibres of slim bamboo tubes have tensile strengths of up to 40kN/cm2 Bamboo is therefore an ideal material for bike construction where stiffness and strength to weight ratios are important.

SERIOUS ALTERNATIVE: If you are considering buying a carbon or titanium frame, then read more about the re-discovered properties of bamboo.

Having this kind of bike is so unique and it is also affordable.

BAYONG sends its LOVE♥

The traditional bayong is woven from buri leaves in Visayas and pandan in Luzon.
Bayong is produced by weaving and thus, it is labor intensive.
People can use these bags for their normal everyday shopping needs instead of using plastic bags.
Plastic wastes are not just a national problem, it is a problem today that is being experienced all over the world.
We want people to be aware that it is viable and fashionable alternative to plastic shopping bags.
Our purpose is to encourage people to start using it, because if they do use of bayong it will have more control in protecting the environment.
Replacing plastic bags with bayong bags, you will see charges of demand for the product as it will help with creating new jobs, especially in this time of economical crisis. And it will also help improving an endangered environment that poses many health risks for persons today.

The choices is ours, either we use plastic bags and be content with the environmental health hazards caused by plastics, or we, as consumers, will take an active part to protect our environment and our health and at the same time maximizing the use of our natural resources and local talents, preserving our domestic market for our local entrepreneurs, and providing income and employment to our Filipinos.
Let's change our habits! It takes just a little sacrifice.
PLASTIC IS OUT, GAMITIN ANG BAYONG.. :)
